Lone Bildsøe Lassen is a humanitarian expert with 23 years of experience leading largescale humanitarian refugee, IDP, displacement country and regional programmes in fragile states in Caucasus, Africa and MENA.

From design, programme development and establishment of immediate emergency operations focusing on protection, distribution, camp management, to longer term rehabilitation focusing on sustainable durable solutions, or the grey area linking humanitarian and development strategies and assistance.  Operating in the humanitarian space with a long-term perspective requires a constant eye on adjustments to the programme and organisation, generating strong experience in leading organisational change processes and conducting context and conflict analysis.

With an extensive background in project/programme circle management; fact-finding, strategy – and programme development, planning, appraisals, quality assessments, reviews and evaluations, Lone has been working with a human rights-based approach focusing on protection of rights, civil society organisations, capacity development, youth, gender mainstreaming, good governance, micro credit, livelihoods.

Lone has long management experience and in particular management or coaching of Country Directors and sector experts working in conflict affected areas, requiring a special focus on staff welfare and working environment while deliver quality outputs and results.
