Supporting the development of the Danish Government’s Peace and Stabilisation Programme for the Horn of Africa

The Horn of Africa remains a fragile context characterised by localised conflict and high rates of political, economic and social instability. To address these issues and to protect Danish interests, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is developing its third regional Peace and Stabilisation Programme for the Horn of Africa to address crosscutting threats and challenges and to strengthen local security providers in Ethiopia, Kenya and Somalia. Kristoffer Tarp of Concord Consulting has been hired as an adviser by the Royal Danish Embassy to Kenya and Somalia to support the development of the program drawing on lessons learned from past phases as well as seizing emerging opportunities.
